Community led Outreach Initiatives

The Ontario Network of People Who Use Drugs in partnership with Public Health Ontario invite you to come learn about Community Led Outreach initiatives with The Nameless (St.Thomas) & The Drug User Advocacy League (Ottawa)

Join us to learn how Drug User Led Initiatives got started, how they operate & the barriers they faced and overcame to become a success as community led initiatives.

Moderated by Cassandra Smith (ONPUD)

Panel Discussions focused on how services can identify and foster relationships with champions in the community to increase reach and better support communities of people who use drugs.

Engage with ONPUD members about how they came into the work, the trouble and struggles in peer work, the impacts of racism and colonization in harm reduction and what true empowerment should look like.

Join us on Aug 16th @ 1pm for 90 mins of rich and interactive conversations with people who use drugs and harm reduction newbies and vets.

Honorariums provided for people who use drugs looking to champion harm reduction initiatives in their local communities
