Call for Board Members: Ontario Network of People who Use Drugs

Are you passionate about advocating for the rights of people who use drugs? Do you have lived or living experience with drug use? The Ontario Network of People who Use Drugs (ONPUD) is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of our non-profit organization.

As a member of the ONPUD Board, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to promote harm reduction, shape drug policy, and champion the rights of individuals who use drugs. We are actively seeking candidates who have:

✅ Lived/Living Experience: We prioritize candidates who have firsthand experience with drug use. Your unique insights will guide our efforts to create meaningful change.

✅ Community Involvement: We value individuals who are actively engaged in their communities. Your connections and understanding of local needs will contribute to our impactful projects.

✅ Commitment to Board Rules: Candidates should be familiar with the responsibilities of being on a Board of Directors, including attending meetings, contributing to decision-making, and acting in the best interest of the organization.

✅ Reliable Technology Access: Given the nature of our work, reliable access to technology is essential for remote meetings and communication.

✅ ONTARIO based: Given the work will impact pwud in the province we ask all applicants be from Ontario (though we will consider individuals with deep ties to Ontario priority will be given to individuals residing in Ontario)

The Ontario Network of People who Use Drugs is deeply involved in projects that shape drug policy, advocate for harm reduction, and amplify the voices of those directly impacted by drug use in Ontario. By joining our Board, you’ll have the opportunity to drive meaningful change, raise awareness, and make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals who use drugs.
